YADA conducted several researches on women’s economic empowerment as the responsible partner of UN Women Europe and Central Asia Regional Office. The overall goal of this partnership is to conduct researches and generate materials on women’s economic empowerment in order to orchestrate and catalyse discussion and dialogue to encourage relevant stakeholders to place the issue in their agendas, influence structural changes and alleviate perception barriers. In addition to the reports and papers written within the scope of this project, the most important and apparent output of this partnership of YADA with UN Women was the WEPs (Women Empowerment Principles) Implementation Guide, where a WEPs Self-Assessment Tool was attached to the guide. This guide and and self-assessment tool aimed to ease the process of the private sector introducing the WEPs in their workplaces and value chains. This guide was firstly written in Turkish and translated to English for wider use and accepted to be an example globally.
