Held in Sivas in 2005 and supported by the Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey within the frame of the Local Development Program, the project was executed with Çetinkaya Agricultural Development Cooperative. YADA took an active role in the development, implementation and monitoring-evaluation processes of the project. In 19 villages of the town of Çetinkaya the goal was to increase the employment opportunities against the growing unemployment. By enacting stock-breeding and improving agricultural activities women and unemployed men were trained on growing mushroom. In the next step a potential market was created for the products grown. Mushroom growing became a significant field of employment in the region.
